We recently announced the Sapporo Group’s New Management Framework which sets its sights on 2016, our 140th anniversary. In the past, plans have been grounded on the conditions current at the time the plan is conceived. In contrast, the New Management Framework envisions the company in the year 2016 and outlines the policies needed to make the changes required to achieve that vision.

The key points of the Sapporo Group’s New Management Framework are outlined below.
The Group has identified two businesses domains: the creation of value in food and the creation of comfortable surroundings. The Group plans to expand its business in these areas through the utilization of the assets and strengths at its disposal.

• We will strengthen our framework to create high-value-added products and services in order to provide valuable products and services that customers can identify with.
• We will promote strategic alliances with powerful partners that will enable the Group to enhance its strengths, complement its capabilities, and acquire know-how, so as to rapidly develop competitive advantages on a large scale.
• We will aim to build brands in overseas markets by expanding the Soft Drinks and Food Products businesses, as well as the Alcoholic Beverages business, in foreign markets.
• We will pursue greater synergies among our businesses by promoting flexible collaboration and cooperation, unconstrained by our current Group companies or existing organizational boundaries.
