POKKA SAPPORO Food & Beverage Ltd.

POKKA SAPPORO conducts ongoing energy conservation activities at each of its factories (for beverages and food) every year. The Nagoya factory has renewed its high-performance boiler and switched to an efficient operation method, and the Gunma factory has transitioned to equipment featuring higher performances such as introducing heat pumps. Installation of solar panels on factory roofs and transition to LED lighting are some other activities being implemented.

Sapporo Lion

Sapporo Lion has been developing environmentally-friendly restaurants in various forms to reduce CO2 emissions.
For “Yebisu Bar”, which has been developing in recent years, and for “Ginza Lion”, which has been growing with new restaurants in various regions, energy-conserving LED lighting has been used for most hall lighting. In existing restaurants as well, lighting has been changed to LED lighting and kitchens have also been transitioning to environmentally-friendly refrigerators and icemakers.
Furthermore, energy and water conservation pamphlets have been distributed to each restaurant and water and utility charges have also been visualized to grasp excess and uneven use in different time slots. Based on information from these activities, energy conservation activities are being implemented during business hours, such as frequently turning switches on and off, configuring proper temperatures for air conditioning and kitchen equipment, along with appropriate operation methods.

SAPPORO REAL ESTATE

The “Yebisu Garden Place” has been taking measures against the heat island phenomenon with rooftop greening activities at its rental housing “Garden Terrace Nibankan”. Furthermore, the facility has been working to reduce emission of greenhouse gases under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “Global Warming Countermeasure Plan System”.
Along with promoting energy conservation through improving air conditioning operation methods in office buildings, gradual transition towards LED lighting is also being made.
Furthermore, rooftop and wall greening for the newly-constructed “GINZA PLACE” and “Yebisu First Square” have been implemented, and Low-E glass featuring high heat insulation properties has been installed in windows.
Efforts to decrease environmental impact due to building management will be conducted as much as possible, with the understanding of our building tenants.
